I am trying to interrogate the menu items under a Windows adapter VirtualMenuBar control. Does anybody have experience with this? The control itself doesn't even have a PerformClick member in TestMethods. Do I need to convert/cast the type somehow?
Just double-checking - did you mark the "Show Inherited" checkbox in the Test Methods dialog? Assuming this is a Java App, I'd definitely recommend checking the Virtual Controls tab to see if there are any other controls under the VirtualMenuBar.
Once you have captured the Virtual Menu Bar control. Do the following -
1.Start Interrogation > Wait for the Virtual menu bar to be matched or green tick to appear on it while the interrogation session is on.
2.Once you get the green tick on the virtual menu bar, right click on it and select add menu items. After this, a pop up window will appear.
3.Now, Click on the menu items present inside the Virtual menu bar on your application, while the interrogation session is on. This would cause all the menu items to automatically appear inside the pop-up. Now, Check those items which you require in your automation. Close this pop up
4.You will be able to see the menu items in the object explorer > Save the captured controls
