Agent -Startup Option
Hi
We are writing a utility that should be invoked only after the server startup, we prepopulate some data pages and invoke the rules assembly in this utility. This should be invoked only once after the server startup. Can we use the Startup option on the Agent, will that execute this agent only once.

Hi Pradeep, which version of Pega is this? In the 7.x versions you should have the option to set the pattern for your agent schedule to startup like in the screenshot below. This should only run when the system starts to my knowledge. In the Designer Studio go to Records > Sys Admin > Agent Schedule to modify the agent schedule.

Please keep in mind that startup agent is executed for every restart of the node and for every node in the cluster. If you don't want it for every restart, the agent activity should handle it appropriately.
Why are you trying to force rule assembly on startup?
how are you forcing rule assembly?
Given a multi-node system, do you really want to reassemble certain rules multiple times?
Given that our product goal is to run 24x7xforevever, what is driving your startup-specific requirements?
