Arvind is right, Personal Edition is only available for the latest GA release of the Pega Platform.

Personal Edition is primarily intended for demo purposes and is not supported for use on releases earlier than the latest GA release.

Can we use the 7.2.x version downloaded in support to install on a mac machine?

As per PDN Mac OSX is supported from PRPC 7.2 versions.

Scroll down and click "NEXT PAGE>" button
Scroll down and accept the License Agreement and click "NEXT PAGE>" button
Fill out the License Information and click "SUBMIT" button

Were you able to download Pega 7.2.2 PE?

I couldnot find the mac installable anywhere. Also there are no instructions for installing on Mac machine. Help would be appreciated.

However it clearly states that personal edition is limited only to windows. Installing prpc on an Application Server running directly on a MAC OS is not officially supported but to use safari on a MAC to connect to an Application Server running PRPC.
