Getting Error Failed to upload deployment package file to server. Invalid package type. while deploying an asset to Robot Manager.
Using Pega Robotics studio version 22.1.54 and Robot Manager version 23.1.5

@ManishM5893 This is tricky without a log. Is the issue with a specific asset or any asset? If you haven't tried, I would create a very basic asset (start with a Utility with just a Win Form). Let me know if it works with a basic asset as this might indicate an issue with your asset.

@ThomasSasnett , I got the same error when deploying a very simple project as an asset. Below are the steps I took.
I don't think we need to specify somewhere which type of asset it is or any setting in Robot Manager.
1. Started with a new Project in Pega Robot Studio.
2. It already had Globals and one blank automation in it.
3. Added a Win Form.
4. Clicked on Deploy
5. Checked the checkbox which says deploy it as an asset.
6. Got the same error. "Failed to upload deployment package file to server. Invalid package type"
Below are the errors:
Logs from Pega Robot Studio, only shows that the api received 500 and the message is Invalid package type.

@ManishM5893 I apologize for the late response. Asset support was added in Robot Manager 24.1. You can still use Assets with RM 23, but you cannot deploy them to RM and need to distribute them locally into %AppData%\Pegasystems\Assets.

@ThomasSasnett , I didn't see any Folder under AppDAta/Roaming/Pegasystems with the name Assets. However, I have created it and downloaded the .PEGAASSET file from the asset repository in Robot Manager but still my existing Pega Robot Studio is not showing from where I can add this asset. I also checked by opening an automation and clicking Include and that view also not showing this manually placed asset.
Can you send me any documentation to use this local way of using it.

Here is the documentation, but it is light on local usage. The asset needs to be placed in the local folder on each developer machine. It does not go into your repository. It can only be in your repository if you have a supported version of Robot Manager (and you wouldn't place it there manually). Place the file into your %AppData%\Pegasystems\Assets folder. Restart Studio and then you should be able to add the asset from the Add menu on the project tab.
