 Job scheduler stops working and does not display the details of the next run, after the utility nodes are restarted.

Symptoms and Impact

Job Scheduler does not run.

Steps to reproduce

Restart the node when the job is in Running state.

Root Cause

Product Defect/Bug

• When Job scheduler was in running state and the utility nodes were restarted, jobs got stuck with no next run details
• Investigation showed lock was not being removed for the Job scheduler run when the restart was performed

Solution

1. Create an Incident or Issue type ticket requesting the Job Scheduler Lock utility on MSP.
2. Run the Pega provided utility to clear the lock.

Or

Update to Pega Platform 24.2.
