How to configure customer logger in the Cloud environment
we are currently evaluating a solution where we are able to generate custom logs from the app, but using a file different from PegaRULES_xxxx.log For on-premise deployment, it is possible to configure the prlogging.xml to implement own logger.
Could someone tell us if this is possible in the Pega Cloud 3 (we will migrate soon to Pega Cloud 3) setup? if yes, how to proceed?

You should be able to do it from AdminStudio -> Resources -> Log Categories -> Actions -> Create Log Category.

@HerveA17026649In Pega Cloud 3, you can create a custom logger using Admin Studio by navigating to Resources → Log Categories → Actions → Create Log Category, where you can define a new log category and set the desired log level. If you need more control, you can create a Dynamic System Setting (DSS) under Records → SysAdmin → Dynamic System Settings, specifying a custom log category with a unique name and log level (e.g., log4j2.logger.custom.myLogger). To write logs programmatically, use a Java Step in activities with oLog.info("Custom log message"). For generating separate log files, you can configure a DSS with a custom appender specifying the file path. Pega Cloud also supports Splunk and Amazon S3 for external log storage and long-term retention. Use Tracer for real-time troubleshooting. Admin Studio provides the easiest and most direct way to manage log categories, while DSS offers advanced control for specific needs
