Orphan Records Cleanup
Hi,
We observed high volume of orphan records in below work tables.
- PC_DATA_WORKATTACH
- PC_LINK_ATTACHMENT
- PC_LINK_FOLDER
around 3 million orphan records identified and planning to do the cleanup, please let us know best way to perform the cleanup any OOTB tool available to identify and do the cleanup safely?

Hi @SUNDARARAJAN,
We do have an OOTB activity; just pass the class name, then run the below-mentioned activity. So that will delete all the class instances. Be careful; this will delete all the class instances.
Activity Name: pxDeleteClassInstances

1)I would suggest writing a custom activity because you're looking to delete only a subset of records that are orphan - Use Obj-Open-By-Handle to open the object using pyId. Then calling Obj-Delete.
2)Directly delete from Database(Not Recommended). You can pass the query to Pega cloud or your DBA team to execute it.
Please note: Please take a database backup before you proceed.
