D_CaseStages - pyStageStatus Incorrect value
Hi All,
CaseType:
Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3 Stage 4 Stage 5
Scenario: Case gets routed from Stage 1 to Stage 2 to Stage 3 to Stage 4. Now From Stage 4, User returning the case to Stage 3 and from Stage 3, User returning the case to Stage 2.
Now from Stage 2 User resubmits the case and it went to Stage 3.
D_CaseDetails is showing me the below details as (pyStageStatus):
Stage 1: past
Stage 2: past
Stage 3: active
Stage 4: past (incorrect- It should be Future)
Stage 5: Future
Stage 6: Future
Can someone help me on why this is happening?

Hi @Vigneshk2107, The possible reason may be the status is getting set as past once it has reached the stage.

This is known issue and I fixed this time back https://support.pega.com/question/clearing-stage-status-while-changing though I don't remember how in detail and my answer is not clear.. :( (very sorry about that!)
The problem is the view of Pega. Pega believes that once we get a certain stage, It becomes a stage of "Past" and marks as it is. So, even If you jump back to a previous stage, the status of the last step you reached stays "Past" and so renders like this. This approach has a logic in itself and correct for some case but quite opposite for some as well.
If I find how I did, I will post it here as well.
