Types of locks

Would anybody tell me if is there any other type of lock other than the regular lock(by the Obj-Refresh-And-Lock method) and "Expired/Soft Locks.  Today someone asked me this and I got curious about it because this is the only type of locks I know.

Thanks for any additional ideas on this.

Hi @BYRONLOPEZ, Default locking and optimistic locking Default locking:Only Single user will perform.The other operator needs to wait until the first operator updates the case. Optimistic locking:Two or more operators can open and work on the case. I hope this will helps you
