Reference Calculation Builder Column in a DataPage
Hi!
I got a Data Page sourced by a Report Definition.
One of the columns of the Report Definition is a text value (1) , as a requisite i need to limit the character lenght of that value to 100 characters so i used a Substring Calculation Builder in the Report Definition so i get another column but with less characters (2) .
I show this DataPage in a Table in a Section.
Now i want to show the substring column instead of the original but i don't know how to reference it, because in the DataPage i just can see the original.

How can i reference that substring column?

No. Just as in my screenshot use .pyTextValue(1)
In the clipboard screenshot you sent also has pyTextValue below the selection. If you select pyTextValue you can see the calculated value.

2 easy ways I can think of
1. Instead of doing substring in report definition, you can do it in post processing activity of data page and set it at pxResults level to get rid of the complexity of pxPages UI reference.
2. Create a section of class PegaSocial-Message and load it on .pxPages(Message) page. there you can simply refer .pyObject in an inline cell.
