I think we cannot compare DateTime with Date directly since, both are of different data types. For this we need to Type Cast any one of the datatypes into other. 

Convert the date value into Date Time using the below function @DateTime.addToDate(Param.Date,Param.Days,0,0,0).

In case, if you want to implement this in Report, you need to write a Function-Alias rule. which converts the date to time or datetime to date.
