Is simulation setting for connectors exported when migrating connector rule?

I have a connect-REST rule with "Simulation" set as Global in Dev environment. When I exported package and imported to a different environment (production level 5), the setting was deleted. Is this correct behavior?

I am assuming that Pega has deleted the simulation setting as this is "Simulation" and it is not supposed to used in different environment. Also, because simulation setting does not require check-in, check-out process to save the simulation activity, I am assuming this is not saved to rule definition itself. Is my understanding correct?

Yes, that's correct. When you migrate, you need to package the simulation activity as well and re-apply simulation in the new environment.
