Passing parameter from Pega Console to RPA

Hi guys,

I am currently running an automation robot from Pega Console and trying to pass some values from Pega to the robot.

I am trying to make the robot to get the values passed from Pega Console (Case) and wonder which component of Openspan can retrieve the values from Pega Console.

It seems that I can utilize Activity component of openspan, but not sure how to expose the field of the screenshot into Activity component and retrieve the value from the Activity..

I have attached a screenshot below for better understanding.

The red highlighted value of the case is what I want to use in the robot (openspan code).

Any advice will be appreciated!

Hi,

You are correct, you need Robotic Activity component in Studio.

Please take a look on the following articles with explanation on setting up Robotic Activity: http://help.openspan.com/80/Components/Using_the_Robotic_Case_Definition_Component.htm

Additionally, for RPA you will need Pega Robot Manager to assign case to robotic queue and register Runtime to receive assignments. Here is the tutorial: https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/tutorial-automating-processes-your-pega-platform-application-robotic-process
