installing multiple OpenSpan runtimes on one computer

So I have a dozen RPA bots built on version 1100 of Pega's runtime, Another 5+ on version 2017.

Can I install the runtimes of both version on one machine, and then select which to use on execution...

Is there any restrictions to just copying the runtime directory(s) onto a machine vs "installing" one version and then another...
