Will pingService work if Database is unavailable for a brief period?
Hi,
Greetings. We are on Pega 7.3.1, and using pingService available OOTB for ELB health checks, however if the database is not available for a brief period, will pingService work? I was looking at purepaths in Dynatrace and i see this is doing a query to pr_page_store? Yes we use Passivation but why does an application requestor need to query a table etc? Can someone shed some light on this?

I cannot see why that query is related to pingService - it is related to passivation, you are right. I do not have a 7.3.1 handy to test, I tested locally with pega infinity instance using simple Rest client Postman, it appears to be working while I am shutting down my database. Go and check the pingService logic in pzGetHealthStatus activity.
