I have to Update value of column or set a value to a column in History table.
Whenever History-Add method inserts a record wanted to set a value to one of the columns.
how can we achieve this.I tried creating pydefault datatransform it did not help

History details are "append only." The system saves the new instance to the class History-ClassGroup of the underlying work item. (For rules, the system saves the new instance to the fixed class History-Rule.)

I haven't confirmed this, but presumably, you could create a rule-declare-trigger that could add those values. Failing that, if you have the pzInsKey of the history line in the database, you could always create an activity that opens the object, adds the values, and saves it again.

Hi Mike, thanks for your response , I have already done through Trigger its working as expected, however I am little worried if this would have an impact on performance.so I am thinking if we have any alternative.
