Would it be possible to trigger Bot directly through External Rest API without workgroup and workbasket logic?
I understand all bots are managed thru RMC and interaction between Robot management console and Bot works through Pega REST apis. Would it be possible to trigger Bot directly through External Rest API without workgroup and workbasket logic?

You can add a Service item to your project to turn an automation into a web service. It will create a SOAP-based service that you could call from your own application. You would be responsible for managing the calls to the service and determining which machine(s) to call and keep track of their status and all of the ancillary things like that, but it would technically work. Keep-in-mind, that you since you are not using Robot Manager, that your application would become responsible for everything Robot Manager currently does.

When you are exposing automation as web service then the automation should be running before calling the automation functions. I think it won't trigger the automation. (trigger means it won't start the adapter by consuming the web service). Please correct me.
