Need supporting link and suggestions for upgrade from 6.2 to 7.3

we are planning to upgrade our system from 6.2 SP2 to 7.3.1. we are planning to use a fresh tomcat server 7 and SQL server DB 2016.

Need supporting documentation for the same.

want to explore multi tenancy and split schema options.

Please elaborate what you mean by "split schema options". 7.3 is split-schema.  You also mentioned multi-tenancy. It sounds like a primary concern is "walling off" data owned by different sets of users.
