Connect CMIS Connectivity test is failing
Hi there,
I am trying to implement CONNECT CMIS in our application. So, I configured the atom URL in the CMIS rule with Microsoft SharePoint as CMIS provider. But when I execute the test connectivity, application is encountering with unauthorized issue.
Can you people assist me of how to debug the issue? Am I missing something ?

Caught org.apache.chemistry.opencmis.commons.exceptions.CmisUnauthorizedException when testing connection:

The main reasons you're going to see this are:
- credentials in your Authentication Profile could be incorrect,
- the user does not have the rights to access that resource on the server.

Thanks for the reasons highlighted.
I did confirm with the share point team that Authentication profile is correct.
Regarding the user access, the listed user has both read/write access to the server.
Apart from the above mentioned, do I need to update any XMLs on the application server side?

The only records on the app side that matter here are the Connector and the Authentication profile.
If the URL for Sharepoint and the Authentication profile are correct, you generally would not be seeing the CMIS Unauthorized error.
Perhaps you could use the same Authentication Profile record with a different connector type (REST or HTTP) to get a resource on the Sharepoint server, to verify your authentication settings?
Make sure to check the "preemptive authentication" checkbox when doing that, for best results.
