Pega Robotics Studio is not responding
Hi Team,
I'm trying to automate few functionalities in a windows application but PEGA is not responding after i click on an option. When i do a PerformClick on a button, a secondary window opens but automation is not proceeding after that. I tried the same using test control methods, after the secondary
window opens PEGA Robotics Studio hangs and doesn't respond. I'm using Pega Robotics Studio 8.0.1056.0.
Please find below the log snapshot taken from RuntimeLog.txt when PerformClick event occurred.

The way I have dealt with this situation is to use the "Parallel Process" block. One leg goes to the button click, the other to the code for the Pop-up window. The code does not return from the button click until the pop-up window closes...
There may be other ways to deal with this like Asynchronous Links, but the Parallel Process makes the most sense to me personally.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure if parallel process would help in this case. Cause my automation will proceed only after the secondary window opens (i.e, need to update some info on that window) not in parallel. Also, don't think the issue is with the Automation as once the PerformClick is done, Pega Robotics Studio hangs but my application is still accessible. I'll need to close Robotics Studio and relaunch it everytime I try the test control method - PerformClick. If I let it run through in the automation it stops after Performclick and doesn't proceed after that.
BTW, I did try both parallel process block and the asynchronous links but it didn't work.

Hello Subaraj, I had the same problem today. I resolved by first adding in an Enable method to the automation, and then connect that to the PerformClick method. Hope this works for you!
