Call a DLL on the client desktop using Pega Robotics
Hi ,
I have a problem , to call a DLL on the client desktop using Pega.That DLL will then launch an IE browser (a website) with my input params populated on the browser.
Once the data has been modified on that browser(website) and submit is hit , this should flow back to Pega as a response.
I am new to robotics and I have read it is possible using RDA. Please help if someone has already worked on such a use case.

If you were writing a C# program, how would you call the DLL? Does the DLL have a static method to call to launch the browser? Do you know if the DLL is based off the ComponentModel?

Hi ,
Thanks for the response. Currently the DLL is being invoked by a desktop level VB code.
DLL has a static method that is invoked , which in turn launches the browser and populates the data passed as input to the DLL method.
User then manipulates the data on the browser and then on the click of submit , the DLL sends back the response to the VB code.
Now I have to get rid of the VB code and invoke the desktop level DLL myself using Pega.

It would seem that you should be creating a Web Adapter and launching/interacting with the IE Browser instance versus using an external DLL. Granted, while going thru the DLL may work, not sure it is the best design overall.
