Character Encoding Impact

As we are Facing Issue in displaying German characters in Pega v7.2.2 when we were getting it from external system. On Analysis I found this link https://pdn.pega.com/support-articles/german-special-character-problem SA ID: SA-6538 , which suggests for character encoding change in web.xml but how will be the impact if we change character set in web.xml Please suggest needed prerequisites to be taken care for re-deployment of ear file.

Hi Vijay Bharthi, Can you please explain the scenario more? which pega connector rule is used to get the info from external system? when you receive the german special char in pega application, does the value look good in clipboard(OR when german special char is written to pegarules log file)?
