Truncate the value from Front End System
Hello All,
Could you please help me on below query?
We are entering some amount & want to truncate the amount from our end. Say example: 12.34, So when an end user enter an amount. So, on UI screen it should not allow after decimal three digits, it should always allow only two digits after decimal on UI. Currently we are using currency control & in presentation tab of control we have configured decimal rounding of two but we are able to enter digits more then two after decimal but when we refresh outside of text box then again it is displaying 12.34 but in actual I have enter 12.346589.
So, I want to restrict end users they can enter an amount after decimal upto only digits like 12.34, he should not be able to enter amount like 12.345

Kindly try the below procedures:-
1. ToRestrictIP (999999999.99)
give Control as Decimal
Step1:
In Activity (name is “CurrencyAmtActivity” )
Property-Validate Validate as in RULE EDIT VALIDATE "To restrict IP"
Property Name ValidateAs Continue Default Required ErrorrMessage
.currencyAmt ToRestrictIP check check “ PleaseenterCorrectformat”
(theValue)
Step2:In ToRestrictIP
write the bellow code:
java.util.regex.Pattern pattrn=java.util.regex.Pattern.compile("^[0-9]{1,9}+(\\.[0-9]{1,2})?$");
java.util.regex.Matcher match=pattrn.matcher(new String(theValue));
boolean status= match.find();
return status;
Step3:
call this ACTIVITY IN THE FLOW ACTION.
AFTER THIS Action ..
Applycost
Run Activity “CurrencyAmtActivity”
