Question on Work group of a manager in the organizational structure
when we are defining the organization structure, what would be Manager work group?
should it be the same work group that his/her team members are in?
if Yes, then lets say a person is a manager for 2 or more work groups then where should we keep the manager?
if No, then we will have to create a new work group for manager.
Also regarding the work basket,
A Work basket can be pointed to one Work group.
what if we wanted to give access to the work basket to 2 or more work groups?
should we combine all the work groups? OR how to handle this?

A work group identifies a user who is a supervisor and a set of workers and workbaskets that report to that supervisor. So it will be the same as its reportees.

You can add multiple workgroups for single operators. Go to operator id form and under work tab you will see the option to define multiple workgroup.

On the same line, you can configure multiple workgroups with same workbasket . There should not be any issues.

This is added in Pega7.2 version. how would we handle in Pega7.1.9?

I dont see a option to associate Work Basket to 2 or more work groups. Even in 7.2 version also.

Based on the reply : Create a new workgroup for the manager. Create a workgroup and associate the Manager to the workgroup. For the other workgroups make add this manager to the manager role.
In terms of workbaskets which are belonging to both the workgroups , add these workbaskets manually to the Managers operator profile. In this way all the operators and the manager can work on the same cases using get next work.
The only drawback is when u need to display the workbaskets for the manager. In that case define a new portal for this manager and display all the workbaskets in his profile.
