I read that link earlier but I understood it as similar to Edit validate rule for changing format of text .
Could you please explain with some examples.

Use case example
- Case should be created from an external file using listener
File content format
- one of the file tag could be a variable defined pattern example (Date, Dated, Dt.) to map to date property.
Method
- using activity method 'Text-Normalize' we will map the value to date property.

Hi Phani so as per the example we have a value in file as example -"24-05-2016" then in activity text normalize will set it to a property?

Could you please explain this statement and how it can be achieved? This is present in Pega Help
For example, the original text string may contain a date or amount in any one of a variety of formats. If the desired date format is YYYY-MM-DD (for example 2009-10-12), parse normalize rules can search for dates in other formats and replace the value with the normalized format.
