Is it possible to add a new Symbolic Date range?
I would like to pre-define a new date range that that our organization uses a lot for reporting, that is not found in the "Symbolic Date" picker.
For example, I could really use "Last 5 days" and also "Previous 2 Quarters" (because we always report on 6-month periods.
Is it possible to create a new Symbolic Date? Or what other approach could we use to calculate these ranges?
It would also be nice if there was a way to simply pass in a parameter to the function for the number of days, weeks, months, quarters, years that are requested... --> Enhancement Request!!

While Pega is doing the magic of converting pre-defined symbolic dates, allowing customers to extend means that the customer must also defined how to interpret the symbolic and generate the start and end dates from it. This is clearly and enhancement request and I have created FDBK-15131 in our internal project management tool.

This is an enhancement request as Symbolic dates are not customizable.
For report definitions you can create two filter conditions
- .pxCreateDateTime >= Param.startDate
- .pxCreateDateTime <= Param.endDate
Where startDate and endDate are parameters on the report which are set based on the date range you need.

Thanks for your response. The whole idea is that I don't have to know/calculate the start and end dates myself. What I like about the symbolic date ranges that Pega offers, is that they calculate the applicable start-end dates themselves and change automatically as time goes on and rolls over a new time period.
I would just like the ability to add to the list of pre-defined time periods.

Thank you. Or if you could somehow add a parameter to indicate how many time periods (years/quarters/months/weeks/days) to include in the range, that would be a huge improvement and greatly expand the flexibility/usefulness of the symbolic dates!
