Download Attachments using button or link
Team,
Is it possible to download attachments (attached to the work objects) using Button or Link? If yes, can you please let me know how we can achieve it?

Hello Ramesh,
Have you looked at what is called by the out of the box attachments code? I expect you could use tracer or fiddler to figure out the necessary components if you want to do this custom. Although I'd also suggest taking a step back and asking if there was a way you could customize the out of the box UI so that it meets your business needs and you don't need to reinvent the wheel.

Run a script on the Link/Button. call this function with necesary parameters.
Run the script: Pass the function name as pega.u.d.doAttachmentSingleClick
and pass the parameters nRow, strClass, strInsName, strInsKey, strCategoryProp, strCategoryValue in the same order.
this.doAttachmentSingleClick = function(nRow, strClass, strInsName, strInsKey, strCategoryProp, strCategoryValue)

I have the same Issue right now and I have still a question about the pega.u.d.doAttachmentSingleClick function.
I tried it, but can you please share the details how you are using the parameters nRow, strClass, strInsName, strInsKey, strCategoryProp, strCategoryValue
My requirement is to get the attach pdf need to be downloaded on click of the link

Could you please refer the Embed-Attach-File.
Could you please refer the Embed-Attach-File.pyAttachFieldOptional OOB section. In this section please go to the actions of Download link and verify the run script action. It may give you an clue to proceed further.
