Well, what we did was import the applications we have into a PRPC PE edition of 7.1 to find any issues. To be honest, we stay fairly close to the Pega guardrails, we did not find many issues in upgrading our applications to 7.1 in this aproach.

Just wanted to know any pre-analysis to be done before moving application to new version as there has been a tremendous change in PRPC 7.1 as compared to 6.1

Hi Raj,

The way to upgrade an application from PRPC 6.1 to Pega 7.1 is to run the Installation and Upgrade Assistant (IUA) against your PRPC 6.1 Database repository. Once the Repository has been upgraded to Pega 7.1 you can then test your upgraded application to identify any issues that may require fine tuning. As Leo mentioned if you adhered to Pega Best Practices you should not encounter many if any issues. As a preemptive measure you could run a Heat Map Shaded by Number of Warnings (Pega Button>Application>Inventory>Heat Map) against your PRPC 6.1 application and work to reduce the number of Rule Warnings before upgrading to Pega 7.1.
