Unable to See 'Add a new Data Table' Button in the Data Table landing Page
HI,
I am facing an issue while trying to create a New Data Table.
Working on Pega 7.1.8 Personal Edition, I am Trying to Create the New Data Table according to the Excerise in SAE, but unable to Find the 'Add a new Data Table' Button on Data Table landing page (Data Model > Data Tables).
Please help!
Thanks in advance,
Nagashree

I guess it is deprecated in 7.1.7.
Use Data explorer present in the left panel of the designer studio to create new data table.
Thank you.

Hi,
Add the data type (class) for which you want to create a data table to the data explorer(https://pdn.pega.com/data-management/manage-your-applications-data-objec...), then click on the data type in the data explorer to open the data designer for that type. At that point you'll be able to create a data table by going to the "Records" tab.
Refer below mentioned threads.

Are you able to see Add Data object type in Data explorer? Select that option.

I think starting from 7.1.7 the concept of creating data tables has been deprecated. It has been replaced with local storage.
As pointed out earlier use the data explorer to create a local storage instance. Thats nothing but a data table.
This has been done to ensure that all the classes corresponding to data tables are mapped to a specific table other than pr_other.
You can see certain data tables getting listed in the landing page view thats just to support backward compatibility.
Just go through PDN to know more about local data storage.
