Is PRPC 7.1 compatible with the ActiveX Controls for PRPC 6.1, if the controls not obsolete?
Regarding the ActiveX controls files required by PRPC, is each version specific to certain version of PRPC or generic across different PRPC versions?
If I have both PRPC 6.1 and PRPC 7.1 in two different servers, the versions of the same ActiveX controls files for PRPC 6.1 are equal to or higher than those for PRPC 7.1, can I simply reuse the higher versions of PRPC 6.1 in the PRPC 7.1 environment without losing anything or breaking anything?
e.g. If "Pegaimgviewer.ocx" is in version '6,1,0,1', while the one for PRPC7.1 environment is in version '5,3,0,2", can I replace the "5,3,0,2" with the higer version for PRPC 6.1?

The ActiveX controls are specific to each version of Pega but this should not be a problem as Internet Explorer can simultaneously support multiple versions of the same Active-X control.

Do we need to install pega activex controls for PEGA 7.
We are trying to install ActiveX controls in PEGA 7 but not able to do so.
Please help us with installation steps and post installation validation steps

As of Pega 7.1.8 the following features are still dependent on Active X contols and if your applicaiton is using any one of the below features then you need to install the Active X controls from Pega 7 Distribution Image.
