problems with new v7.1.9 VM
Just noticed a couple of issues with the new v7.1.9 CLSA VM (LSA_719_VM_20160208.zip):
1) Remote access to PostgreSQL not allowed from an external DB Client. You can fix this by adding the following line (or a more secure variant) to /var/lib/pgsql/9.3/data/pg_hba.conf on the VM:
host all all Proprietary information hidden/0 trust
2) Search doesn't work from Designer Studio. To fix this:
a) Move/remove the current index folder from within /opt/tomcat/work/Catalina/localhost/prweb/PegaSearchIndex on the VM. It's called c207a3..
b) Set the correct 'Search Index Host Node ID' on the Search Landing Page: System -> Settings -> Search (you can get this from the clipboard: System Pages.pxProcess.pxSystemNodeID) and Save
b) Re-index each index type - Rules, data, etc

The information is applicable to the 7.1.9 PVS as well.
The Search node ID should be fine in "Designer Studio -> System -> Settings -> Search" but search indexing does need a "kick start".
What you can do is:
- add a search node row
- copy into the new row the exact same information
- remove the original row
- click Submit, then click the "Index All Rules", etc.

Correcting what I said -- just ran into the same issue as the poster, i.e., the node ID being different.
You can find the node IDs on "Designer Studio -> System -> Settings -> System Name"
Add a search index for the "teuser" node leaving the original "vapp" node search index intact.
Do not remove the original row.

Hi,
In the 7.1.9 VM, following exception is observed frequently in the logs, correspondence and when testing integration rules:
java.net.UnknownHostException: vapp: vapp: unknown error
The host node is teuser. Yet, the exceptions report on the host vapp.
Please help.
