Need ability to filter for Decision Tables that are exported to Excel for Editing
We have some decision tables that contain more than 500 rows, hence require us to export and edit in Excel. When the decision table is opened in Excel, the Filter button on the Data tab is disabled. This makes it extremely difficult to administer the decision tables that are maintained by the business (non-IT) groups.
Please provide a solution where the user can perform a Filter in Excel.

This seems to be a product bug. Please raise an SR for same.
For meanwhile, you may copy paste contents in another xlsx file to do filter operations.

Hi,
The excel sheet is protected with a password in the code to not allow users from changing the template and hidden things. Which would otherwise break the table if changes are made and things are imported again. From the excel and Microsoft forums it is clear that the excel does not allow sorting and filtering on columns when the sheet is protected. Hence this is an expected behavior and we may not be able to make any changes in this as the limitation is imposed by microsoft excel itself. We use apache poi library for this generation and we tried to keep sheet protected but keeping lockSort and lockAutoFilter disable but that does not work on locked sheet so no workaround helped with locked sheet.

I am also having the same problem. Do we have a solution that will let us filter the excel exported from Decision Tables?
I am at a loss to understand why Pega is password protecting the excel document. I am exporting it and then saving it on my local machine. It should not matter what I do with the document on my local machine. Of course, if I break the format of the document and then try to import it back into Pega, validation rules should prevent the document from imported.
