issue logging to salesforce.com after logging to pega app

Hi, 

we just deployed a pega7.1.7 app with sso .  a user logins to pega ( using chrome browser)  and then tries to access salesforce.com ( again thru sso) , he gets an error logging to salesforce.com.  if he does the other way ie first login to SF.com and then pega, he is able to work fine in both apps fine . i don't  have specific details but wondering if anyone came across this kind of issue.

SUMMARY

After the upgrade to Pega 7.1.7, when the customer is invoking Pega from Sales Force, they are seeing an exception.

ERROR MESSAGES

Unknown Application OC ( or) verify the environment variable "/Authentication/RedirectGuests" is set to false if you are using gateway

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Not Applicable

ROOT CAUSE

After upgrade, prconfig.xml got reset and an entry was removed <env name="Authentication/RedirectGuests" value="false"/>

RESOLUTION

Reported issue was resolved by adding following setting in prconfig.xml file -

<env name="Authentication/RedirectGuests" value="false"/>

Alternatively handle it using a Dynamoc System Setting which avoids modifying the prConfig.xml manually

Create a Dynamic System Setting named prconfig/Authentication/RedirectGuests/default with Pega-Engine as owning ruleset and set it to false
