How to read BLOB from External DB2 table and display as .pdf/.doc/.jpg
Here is my requirement,
Different formats of files are saved in external DB2 table as BLOB say .pdf/.doc/.jpg/.png..etc... My requirements is there will be a links available on section, when we click on the link file should open in that specific format.Can you suggest what will be the feasible approach.

Hi, I have a bit similar work in my project where I am stuck right now.
Can anyone please help me so as how to access the attachments/screenshots (any format) from database BLOBs and then how to write it and save as documents? I mean if I try to use java function "DocumentWriter", then I would need to access the attachments in order to access its contents (to copy it in the file). My problem is, I am not able to access the attachments or even the URL where it is saved, that are encrypted in the BLOB.

You may want to try the convert-to-pdf smart flow shape and then trace what it does. I believe the activity it calls has to do something similar to what you are asking. In particular, it has to access the attachment, retrieve its data, in order to generate the pdf file. So you could model yours after that part that accesses the attachment and retrieves its data.
