Hello,

Benefits Enrollment and Payroll are both subcases of Onboarding.  In the Case Explorer it will appear as such:

Onboarding

      Benefits Enrollment

      Payroll

You will need to hover over Onboarding and "add" Benefits Enrollment as a subcase FIRST.  Do the same thing again to add Payroll.  And then go to the case designer, and the step you have as a case, select subcase and you will then see Benefits Enrollment and Payroll as an option in the dropdown.

When I try to do my first subcase, I can either make it a Top case and get to view and set it to Onboarding as directed.  When I try to create it as a subcase I get only an “Other” option which doesn’t allow Onboarding. Everything I attempt to do in the Case explorer is ineffective.

I near the bottom of “Effective Process Decomposition” SAEII topic.  Near the bottom of that pdf.

What advice can you give me?  I’m struggling to add stages to the subcase.

I assume you have created 3 cases Onboarding, Benef Enrol and Payrol

In the case explorer they should look like this (as Tara mentioned)

Onboarding

    Benef

    Payrol

If the last two are not children but siblings then from the app explorer, expand Onboarding / Process / Case type and open pyDefault

Scroll down until "Coverable work types" (from memory)

This is where you need to add SAE-HRServices-Work-Benef and SAE-HR-W-Payrol

Save and refresh
