Difference between pyValidEmailAddress and ValidEmailAddress

All,

 

What is the difference between pyValidEmailAddress and ValidEmailAddress? When i use pyValidEmailAddress to validate email property the validation does not occur but when I use ValidEmailAddress it works properly.

 

Any reason for the difference?

The pyValidEmailAddress is a placeholder used for demonstrating how to create an Edit Validate rule. Notice that the entire code is commented out with /* ... */.
