Pega Upgrades without downtime
Hello,
Is Pega platform setup with HA so that we can upgrade one node to the latest and then bring up another node and do the upgrade so that we dont have any downtime.

Pega Cloud environments are already designed for HA and Upgrades are typically handled by Pega’s Cloud Operations team.

In both cases, session stickiness and cache invalidation should be considered to avoid user impact during node transitions.

you can upgrade Pega without downtime if your setup supports high availability (HA). The way it works is you have multiple Pega nodes running behind a load balancer. You start by updating the database schema while all nodes are still running. Then, one by one, you take each node out of the load balancer, upgrade it, test it, and bring it back in. While this happens, the rest of the nodes keep handling user traffic. Once all nodes are upgraded, you can finish any remaining upgrade steps. This only works if the Pega versions are compatible during the upgrade, so always check the upgrade guide and test it in a lower environment first.
