In Pega Constellation, the "Open URL in Window" action is not directly available like in traditional UI, but you can still download an Excel file on button click using a simple method. First, upload the Excel template as a Binary File rule in Pega under the "webwb" directory. Then, get the download URL which will look like: https://<your-server>/prweb/PRServlet?pyActivity=Rule-FileBinary.DownloadFile&pyFileName=YourFile.xlsx&pyDirectory=webwb. In the button configuration, use the "Run Script" action and write a small script like window.open('<your-url>', '_blank');. This script opens the file in a new tab or triggers download based on browser settings. This approach works well in Constellation to provide file downloads on user actions
