WS-SecurityProfile : Signature Parts -- What does this mean ?

Could you please say, what does Signature Parts mean and its significance ?

More over, I referred this security profile in connect-soap, But headers are blank in the request ?

Enable Web Services Security (WS Security) on a SOAP connection to securely move messages to and from your application. After WS Security is enabled, any SOAP message moving through a connection will do so securely. Try to enable debug on invokeAxis2 activity to get the request.
