Wrong user ID for Exercise guide in section "Let me understand strategy execution"

The guide (Document Name: C-1337-ExerciseGuide) tells you to use: StrategyDesigner@DecisionStrategyExecution . But that user doesn't have access to CDH. I think you can reuse: CRMDecisioningAnalyst

Hi Brian

You are right. This exercise excepts you to work in Dev Studio; you can also confirm this in the solution video at the bottom of the exercise steps. But it's ok. You still have access to the decision strategy that you need to work on in this exercise.

Hello Scott

Can you please check if you have requested the exercise system from the corresponding exercise page? It sounds like you are using a different exercise system to complete this exercise.

Hi Guru,

thanks for your reply - the link I'm using for the exercise system is  - http://env-18130142137.pegaenablement.com/prweb  which allows me to log in as a system architect but not as a strategy designer.

Can you confirm the course and the lesson name you are working on? Did you request / access the exercise system from the same exercise that you are trying to complete?

Hi Guru,

Yeah no problem, course is the Pega Decisioning Consultant course and its exercise 16 - Decision Strategy Execution - practice what you learned. 

The first section of the course is requesting the system - I can then complete the System Architect task but once i get to part 3 it wont let me log in as the Strategy Designer.

Hi Scott

At the beginning of every exercise, you can request an exercise system. If you don't have the correct exercise system allocated to you for that exercise, then you'll see the 'Request exercise system' button. If you have one already, then you'll see an 'Open exercise system' button instead.

In your case, what do you see?

Hi Guru,

on section one of the excercise I request the cloud instance which once provisioned shows as shown in my first attached image. 

Then once I click open cloud instance it takes me through to the page shown in the second image where I can then launch Pega 7.

Hi Scott

So far so good. In the second page of the exercise, you are expected to log-in as System Architect ([email protected]/install) and import a C-XXX-EnvironmentSetup.zip, which sets-up the exercise system with the artifacts needed for that exercise. Have you completed this step?

By the way, you are taking an older version of the course (I guess 7.3 or 7.4). The latest one is on version 8. In the latest version of the course, we have removed this administrative step, so you can focus on the actual exercise steps.

Hi Guru,

Thanks, I have completed this step but its the step requiring me to log in as a system designer with credentials StrategyDesigner@DecisionStrategyExecution/rules that I am having the issue with.

My employer is currently using a version of Pega 7 currently so this is the most relevant course for now.

Hi Guru,

Sorry for the delayed reply. It appears my works system had blocked the upload of the .zip file.

I have managed to do this now via logging in from another system and this has fixed my issue. I can now log into Pega as the strategy designer from any system.
