Why is my section rule not reflecting changes in the UI?
Hi Everyone,
I made a few changes to a section rule in one of our case types, mostly just moving around some fields and adjusting visibility. But even after saving and checking in, the UI still shows the old layout. I tried clearing the cache and even did a private checkout to test—same result.
Am I missing a step here? Do I need to re-save the harness or something else to trigger the update?

Is your updated rule being picked up by the rule engine during runtime? Did you make the changes in branch? If so, is the branch added in the application?

Hi,
Further to what @SohamM95 said, if the rule is indeed picked up from right version (be it in ruleset, branch, private edit), and still the UI is showing outdated content, would suggest you to revalidate and save the section rule.
But before doing so, for troubleshooting to know the root cause, try saving as the section to new name with your updated changes and refer the newly created section in the respective harness and see if the changes are reflected. If yes, revalidate and save will help here. If not, we need to debug further.

@ViewL17443725 If your section is created in a new minor version, please make sure to have the ruleset pointed to the current minor version in your application.

Check your Ruleset stack if any branch ruleset is taking the precedence.
Try not adding any when rules and add any new field for debugging purpose and see if it is working, if it is working then could be issue with your when rules.
still not working then we need to perform revalidate and save.

Sometimes we end up editing a similarly named section that's not in use.
2. Rule resolution / versioning issue
Double-check that the section you updated is in the correct ruleset and version.
Is there an older version or another ruleset with the same section name that might be taking precedence?
Also check for check in and check outs
