Why aren't the style mixins not working as expected in the Skin rule?

I have a requirement to make one label as Column Header. I Created new format "MyColumnHeader" and using existing mixin "Column Headings". But its not working as expected. i tried with some other mixins( Error , strong text,.... ) as well..
Is this right way to use or am i miss some thing ?

I tried this and got the same result... The problem appears to be that you are using a Combination Mixin (i.e. a combination of typography, background and boarder styles). If I select a Typography only mixin then it seems to work.
E.g. if I select "Header 1" mixin (typography only) then it works.
I am not sure if we would expect the combination mixins to work here or not. Given that they appear in the mixin selector is seems logical to expect that they would. I would have to defer so someone from the UI group...

Thanks Marc. I verified case Manager portal. Pega using custom styles for Urgency ( Green Background ) & Due ( Red Background ) in Case Manager Portal.
we can achieve these background color highlights with Formats using combination mixins, if mixins works. Why pega it self not using formats to achieve urgency colors?
