When we need to enable kerberos authentication in setupdatabse.properties file?
Hi All,
I have query regarding enable kerberos authentication in setupdatabase.properties file while installing pega.
When we need to enable this property,if we won't enable kerberos authentication while installing will it cause any issue in future?
what is the purpose of enabling kerberos if we can do the things after installing pega without enabling it?
Can some one explain me.

I don't think its mandatory. its used primarily for network authentication or external authentication.
You can create custom authentication service using
Designer Studio >Org & Security > Authentication > Create Authentication Service

Kerberos is complex setup, so if you planning on using Kerberos authentication then its better to do it while installing pega.
There are documents explaining the use of this

Although I am pretty sure you can do this set up latter as well as the changes has to be made in setupdatabase.properties file, so these changes can be made later as well to enable authentication

Most of the time when I have done installation, I have not used Kerberos authentication.
I guess it depends on your application need and external services that you might use. If those services require or they use this then you might want to use Kerberos authentication
