What schemas does the upgrade script touch ? Upgrading from 7.1.7 to 7.2.2

We are creating a sandbox to test the upgrade path and planning on copying the Pega Rules , Pega Data and Pega Admin and pointing sanbox to those schemas . There are other Pega Schemas like Pega Base and Pega Deploy . Does the upgrade script touch those schemas ?

Could you please clarify what do you meant by Pega Base and Pega Deploy schemas. Generally Pega 7 split schema comes with only two schemas pega rules and pega data. I am not sure what the other schemas are holding.
