What is the easiest way of monitoring agents when there is no AES setup

Hi All,

We are using Pega 7.2.2 version and we have got few agents running in our application. Yesterday when we were checking in SMA, we noticed that one of our agents was turned off due to some exception. We don't have AES setup, is there any easiest way to monitor if the agents are up & running instead of checking the agents in the SMA everyday.
