Weird Pega Behaviour while performing bulk actions - Help needed

Dear All,

We are facing one weird issue in our project. For one of my team mate, all Rule-Access-Role-Obj instances started displaying in his checked out rules. (On clicking on Private tick mark, all these instances are listed).

And then he choose bulk actions and discarded all instances. After this, all Rule-Access-Role-Obj instances are deleted from the application.

First of all, this Rule-Access-Role-Obj is not associated with rule set version, so we don't know how and why it is displayed in his checked out rule list.

Second, we don't know why it is deleted when discard is performed in bulk actions.

None of us are able to login to the application due to this issue,

We are using Pega 7.1.7. And the problem occurs only with his operator ID.

Your suggestions/thoughts would be more helpful.

Dear Karen,

We found out the root cause, For that operator "Allow rule check out" option was unchecked.

So all the instances which are not associated with rule set version also started appearing in private check out list.

But it is a Pega bug, when discard is performed , it deletes the rule since it is not associated with any rule set version.

I believe you would see this behavior if the operator did not have a value for pxThread.pxSecuritySnapshot.pxPersonalRuleSetName. Have you been able to restore the Rule-Access-Role-Obj instances? Once you can log in again, could you please check whether the issue happens consistently for this operator or whether their session got into a weird state?
