Web page Navigate method not working

I am using the Navigate method to redirect the web adapter to new url.

Navigate method always throws 'Specified cast is not valid exception'. So using the try catch to suppress the specific error.

But still the redirection some times works and some time not. Navigate method behavior is not consistent.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are able to confirm that the url is being generated each time, perhaps with a MessageDialog box, do you have a WaitForCreate to allow the page some time before loading?
