We need a social collaboration platform for our application. Can Mesh be used for that?
Dear Team,
We have a requirement in which the customer is wanting to have a social collaboration application kind of where all the users can connect, communicate and collaborate which shall be linked to Pega and based on the the sentiments of the users or the customer, Pega needs to take the right action of either creating a support case and assigning it to the respective workbasket or specific person.
I was thinking for the social collaboration part, can we use Mesh? If yes then how shall we proceed in integrating the social presence of a particular customer group and process those data in Pega.
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks and Regards,
Subhajit

Hi Subhajit,
Have you considered using Pega Pulse which adds social activity stream capabilities to your Case Management user interface. This feature facilitates collaboration and conversation among application developers and users. Details here : http://pdn.pega.com/node/12048
Coming to Mesh now, well Mesh product support page community is geared towards helping you troubleshoot, solve, and/or better understand the issues you encounter when developing with our platform. here your questions are not only addressed by Pega Support team members, but other experts employed throughout the company, as well as customers and partners who have shared similar experiences. So you can use it for your issue discussion platform as well. See details here : Welcome to the Product Support Community
But please remember that it is an open forum , and while you collaborate with other members here in this forum, you need to keep in mind the Do's and Donts' of using this forum. See Mesh guidelines here for details : Community Rules of Engagement

Hi Santanu,
I was actually looking for some social collaboration of Pega. In earlier versions of Pega our team had connected with social networking sites whose tutorials were present in pdn. But for Pega 7, can we connect now to the social networking sites and post updates and receive the updates done in Facebook and analyze them in Pega. Are there any specific tutorials or articles in the ways where we can do these from Pega 7.
Thanks and Regards,
Subhajit

Hi,
When we are forming the URL with the APP ID that we had generated, we get the below error.
{
"error": {
"message": "Invalid redirect_uri: Given URL is not permitted by the Application configuration",
"type": "OAuthException",
"code": 191
}
}
We have structured our URLs by these formats
and
https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=APPID&scope=offline_access,read_stream&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html
But both are not working

Ok.
We need to check that ! I will do some research on this in my test lab. Meanwhile I will also wait for other community members inputs on this.

Hi Subhajit,
I am sorry. Was not able to spend time on it. ! Have you done some google search regarding this issue.
This sounds like a common error faced my multiple developers earlier. The most common mistake that triggers this issue seems to be a mismatch between redirect URL and canvas URL in the configuration panel .
Worth checking facebook dev community for this once !
