Upgrade.bat scripts Could not reserve enough space for object heap
While running upgrade scripts in our dev environment, we are often facing “Could not reserve enough heap space for 1310720 KB object heap”
We made sure of below points,
- System uses 64 bit JDK
- Set the environment variables(_JAVA_OPTIONS as system variable for –xms1024m). It is not allowing more than that.
- Client machine is 64-bit system having 15.7 GB free memory.
- We could see the CPU memory still 5.67 GB(from task manager)
- We cleared temp folder too
PFA, logs for the same.
Kindly advise if we are missing something here.

Hi Nagaraj,
While performing an upgrade it picks the heap size from setupdatabase.xml file.
Could you please edit this file and increase the heap size their and then try again.
