Underscore in filter conditions of Report definition

The customer is on 63sp1 and for one of the report definitions the filter condition using an underscore value is not working whereas the same works with ListView. I understand that the '_' and '%' are wildcards in a Like Operated statement in SQL . Is there a way to escape the special characters using report definition.

The enhancement to escape wildcards has been done in 7.1 version of the Pega platform for report definitions.
